Toyota Highlander Brake Line Replacement Instructions

If you bought an SUV like the Toyota Highlander for excursions, you may want to strengthen the parts under that chassis first. The original brake lines are meant to be sturdy, but replacing them with stainless steel ones will be even better.

Tools Used: Tools, Brake fluid, Jack and jack stands, Tire iron, Replacement brake lines, Line wrenches, Hose

Replace Brake Line

Locate the Highlander’s brake fluid reservoir in the rear corner on the driver’s side. Top off the brake fluid and seal the cap tightly to reduce the amount of fluid lost during the replacement process.

Raise the vehicle on jack stands that can support a Toyota Highlander. Remove the wheel to reach the brake line and caliper. Bend the replacement line the same way as the old line to reduce the strain while driving.
