The Chrysler Sebring is equipped with an engine oil change indicator system that keeps track of when an oil change is needed. A message appears on the display instructing the driver to change the oil when the Sebring determines it is the appropriate time. When the engine oil is changed, the indicator must be reset for the system to continue to keep track of the engine conditions and alert the driver when an oil change is due. The procedure for resetting the message on a 2010 Sebring is similar to all model years.
Reset the Oil Message
Turn the ignition switch to the “ON” position, without starting the engine. Depress the accelerator pedal all the way down, slowly, three times within 10 seconds. Turn the ignition switch to the “LOCK” position. Repeat the steps if the oil message does not reset.
